What are Green Banana Training Chips?

Green Banana Training Chips are thin slices of unripe green banana, washed, cut, and carefully dried. There are no added oils, salts, flavours, or preservatives — just the natural starch and fibre of green banana in a simple chip format.

Because the chips are made from green (unripe) banana rather than sweet ripe fruit, they offer a cleaner reward profile for training: lower sugar, more resistant starch, and a calmer energy curve. This makes them suitable for high-frequency training sessions, especially with working and service dogs.

Simple composition

  • Ingredient: dried green banana
  • Form: small chips suitable for frequent rewards
  • Use: training sessions, focused work, public-access practice

For detailed composition, guaranteed analysis, and feeding guidelines, refer to the product label and technical sheet (coming with the first production batch).

Freshness and traceability

Trainers and families want to know how long it takes for a chip to travel from the field to the training pouch. Our goal is to keep that timeline short and transparent.

  • Harvest & cutting: green bananas selected, washed, and cut on the farm.
  • Drying: chips dried indoors and protected from pests, following established farm protocols.
  • Shipment: bulk dried chips shipped to Canada for final packing and quality checks.
  • Target timeline: typically within about 30–45 days from harvest to bag opening, depending on logistics.

Exact freshness and batch information will be printed on each package, including harvest date, drying completion date, and packing date where feasible.

Certified by the Universatis Kó:wa Canine Service Institute

Green Banana Training Chips are developed as a standard training input for programs led and supervised by the Universatis Kó:wa Canine Service Institute. The focus is on reliable, repeatable training rewards aligned with positive reinforcement and calm canine behaviour, including work with service and companion dogs.

Certification by the Institute reflects review of:

  • Ingredient selection and simplicity.
  • Basic handling and drying practices at the farm level.
  • Intended use as a high-frequency training reward, not a general snack or meal replacement.

This certification is specific to training use and does not replace veterinary advice. Handlers should always consider individual dogs’ needs and sensitivities.

Launch timing and updates

The first production consignment of Green Banana Training Chips is currently being prepared at the farm. Once the initial shipment arrives and passes intake checks, the Institute will begin controlled use within training programs, followed by limited public availability.
